Studying for Biology classes

The trick to understanding (and getting good grades in) Biology class is in how you ORGANIZE your notes. You see, half of all there is to learning Biology is knowing how things are classified. For instance, is it a living thing or non-living? (Hint: Viruses are normally considered non-living, because they can't reproduce without a host and are technically not cells)

If it's living, is the thing a prokaryote or eukaryote?

If it's a prokaryote (one-celled, or unicellular, organisms that have been around since the beginning of time, before evolution resulted in cells that have organelles and a nucleus), is it bacteria or archaea?

If it's a eukaryote (cellular organisms that came later in evolution and have a nucleus and separate organelles), is it a protist, fungus, plant, or animal?

Archaea

Bacteria

Protist

Fungus

Plant

Animal

If it's bacteria, how is the cell shaped?
Are they round? Or rods? Or spirals?

Are they gram-negative or gram-positive?

What type of animal?
Mollusk? Worm? Insect? Etc.

...and so on. You get the idea.
